Frequently asked questions
What are the odds of hatching a Legendary from a Royal Egg?
A Royal Egg has an 8% chance of hatching a Legendary. This is the highest odds of any permanent egg in the game, but it costs significantly more bucks (1,450) than others.
Is the Cracked Egg worth it?
Mathematically, the Cracked Egg costs 350 Bucks and has a 1.5% Legendary chance. The Royal Egg costs 1450 Bucks (~4x more) for 8% chance (~5.3x odds). Therefore, Royal Eggs give you better 'Legendary per Buck' value, but Cracked Eggs are better for bulk-hatching Common/Uncommon pets for Neons.
Does the 'Gumball Machine' egg change odds?
Most limited-time Gumball Machine eggs (like Urban, Desert, Garden) follow a standard probability distribution: roughly 5% Legendary, 10-15% Ultra-Rare. However, because the pets are limited, they often hold higher trading value regardless of the hatch odds.
Does the 'Lucky Clover' or '2x Luck' exist in Adopt Me?
No. Adopt Me does not officially have 'Luck' stats or items that increase hatch chances. Any YouTuber claiming a 'glitch' to increase legendary odds is likely clickbaiting. The odds are fixed by the server code.
How many eggs do I need to guarantee a Legendary?
There is no 'Guarantee' (pity system) in Adopt Me. However, statistically, if you hatch 58 Royal Eggs, you have a 99% probability of getting at least one Legendary. But it is possible, though unlucky, to hatch 100 and get zero.
What is the 'Pier Method' or 'Hatch Trick'?
Players often have rituals (like resetting before hatching, or hatching at the pier). These are superstitions. They do not affect the RNG (Random Number Generator) of the game server.
Are 'Retired Eggs' better?
Retired Eggs (available in the VIP room) have the exact same 3% Legendary odds as standard Pet Eggs, but they contain a different pool of pets (Red Dragon, Unicorn, etc.) that are otherwise unobtainable from the shop.
